Dear Friends and Supporters, It’s been quite a year! We realized it’s been since 2024 that we last shared a newsletter, and we apologize for our silence. Our work in 2025 has been abundant and deeply rewarding, and we’re excited to share the highlights with you. This year, our Purpose Global Village team reconnected with our partners in Sierra Leone and supported 40 girls in York and Tokeh Village. Through generous contributions, we provided school supplies, clothing, and other essential items to children and families in need. With the current economic challenges in Sierra Leone, many parents and guardians are unable to fund their children’s education, so our organization stepped in—covering full tuition for some and ensuring others received basic learning materials. Our dedicated team leader, Mr. Theophilus Torwah, continues to guide our Sierra Leone initiative with compassion and purpose. Having experienced loss and hardship himself as an orphan of the Sierra Leonean War, Theophilus understands the importance of education and opportunity. His commitment to helping children—especially young girls—is inspiring. In 2026, we look forward to expanding this effort to support boys as well.

Our travels this year also took us to Ghana and The Gambia, where we collaborated with local artisans to create one-of-a-kind African handmade products. These partnerships continue to celebrate craftsmanship, culture, and community. In the U.S., 2025 was a vibrant year of events and connections. We were delighted to participate in the Colorado Black Arts Festival (July 11–13) and the Winter Park Jazz Festival (July 19–20), where we showcased our handcrafted African goods. Both festivals gave us the chance to reconnect with old friends and meet many new supporters.

In September, we returned to the Monterey Jazz Festival—three unforgettable days (September 26–28) of music, culture, and community. Each year, Monterey feels like home, and we are always grateful for the continuous support. Most recently, on October 11–12, Purpose Global Village joined the Thrive Women’s Conference in Rochester, MN, for the first time. We were touched by the warm welcome and inspired by the women who visited our booth and shared their stories.

As 2025 draws to a close, we look forward to our upcoming events in November and December and to finishing the year with gratitude and purpose. Thank you for walking this journey with us, for believing in our mission, and for helping us make an impact across communities in Africa and beyond. With appreciation,
The Purpose Global Village Team
